| Judith Hall maintains her working studios
in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and also on an island off
the coast of Georgia, thirty miles north of Florida. Born in the Midwest
in Missouri, she began her education in Indiana, moving to Texas and then
to New Orleans for a number of years, and finally to Atlanta. She attended
Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia, and then pursued her degree with a
major in psychology and a minor in art at the University of Tennessee.
Deciding to follow a career in the field of art, Judith continued her studies
with private instruction in Georgia, Florida and Washington State.
Previously having worked in oils and acrylics, she decided in 1980 to devote herself exclusively to the demanding and challenging field of intaglio. Beginning her work in this field with limited experience in the medium, she considers herself basically self-taught in the intricacies of etching and finds her chosen medium to be a continuous learning experience. Judith's work is represented in numerous private and public collections throughout the United States and Europe. |
