Betty Howard Gallery
| Betty
was born in Daytona Beach, Florida in 1925. As a youngster she went to
dance school and as a child performer she appeared on radio as a singer
and did tap and ballet routines at charity benefits. As soon as she began
filling out as a teenager the stage bug hit her and before long she was
a burlesque queen. She traveled extensively across the southern US from
Florida to California but her longest runs were in New Orleans where she
worked Louis Prima's 500 Club.
Betty was known as the Cadillac Stripper as she traveled around the country in a Cadillac convertible, pulling behind it a house trailer which she called home to her and her pets. Betty was a pretty, robust red head, five foot five and a half, with measurements of 40-25-37, known for her energetic performances. |
