Tinker Bell Gallery

"Everybody knows good things come in small packages," Tinker Bell asserts, "And that applies to girls just as well as gems." At five foot two, Tinker Bell carried on her own campaign in support of small women in the cabaret field.

Unlike many of the exotic dancers, Tinker Bell was a real dancer. Before starting the strip business she had been  dancing for 14 years, ballet, tap and even acrobatics. Her first foray into the strip clubs came in January of 1956 when she started on a trial basis at the Wayne Room in D.C. She passed the trial and within weeks became a head-liner at the club.

Her musical preferences were Mambo, Cha Chas and Maringues and this was reflected on stage, combining Afro Cuban rhythms with sizzling torso twists and the sensuous movements of classical ballet.
