formations with plastic ferns growing out of them. Over the lounge stereo
system cascades an endless stream of tropical sounds almost making you
believe that you are in a real tropical paradise. What is this music??
This is Exotica!! Based on Polynesian rhythms and making ample use of drums, vibes and bird calls, this music was popularized by musical geniuses such as Martin Denny and Arthur Lyman. With the recent resurgence in the popularity of lounge music the classic vinyl copies of this musical genre have become very collectible, luckily many have been re-issued on CD for a whole new generation to enjoy. |
